Shiroyama in Kamiyacho, Minato-ku.
Located in an area featuring Tokyo's top neighborhoods, including
Kasumigaseki, Ginza, Akasaka, Roppongi, and Azabu, Shiroyama is a
step back in time. The site takes its name from the shiro, or castle,
of a powerful family that once lived here. During the Edo Period,
this historic site went on to become home to the gracious city residences
of many of Japan's daimyo (feudal lords).
Shiroyama Garden is an elegant urban oasis that is home to a state-of-the-art
office building supporting numerous leading companies; a television
station transmitting the latest news and opinions; foreign embassies;
and Shiroyama Trust Court, a luxury residential complex. But despite
the wide range of urban amenities available, Shiroyama Garden still
reflects the serenity and dignity associated with this historical
site. |
