Rebranding Project of Five Laforet Hotel to Marriott Hotel

Rebranding Project of Five Laforet Hotel to Marriott Hotel

On July 28th, 2017, five hotels belonging to the “Laforet Hotels & Resorts” brand, one of Japan’s leading resort brands spanning ten locations, were reopened under Marriot International's flagship brand, “Marriot Hotel.” The rebranded hotels consist of the Karuizawa (Nagano Prefecture), Nanki Shirahama (Wakayama Prefecture), Lake Yamanaka (Yamanashi Prefecture), Shuzenji (Shizuoka Prefecture), and Lake Biwa (Shiga Prefecture) locations.
These five new Marriot Hotel facilities feature high-quality hot springs as well as stunning scenery, including the majestic Mt. Fuji, lakes, white-sand beaches, verdant highlands, and more. In addition, they are situated in areas known for their cultural heritage and historical significance, and are the first overseas-brand hotels in their respective areas.
Utilizing the numerous corporate partners and stable business model provided by the Laforet organization to open new hotels under the flagship “Marriot Hotel” brand of Marriot International, the world’s largest hotel and member organization, will allow Japan to convey its limitless potential as a tourist destination to the rest of the world and further encourage the ever-growing influx of overseas guests into its countryside resorts.
